What is Female Orgasmic Disorder?

This happens to just about all women at some point in their sexual lives, and having this take place occasionally isn’t really an issue. When women start to have this kind of problem all of the time, though, that’s when it can be very serious. It impedes having a normal sex life, and that makes intimacy and relationships very difficult. Women can be left feeling worthless, inadequate, and unloved, and it can lead to depression. The harder they try to ‘be normal’ the worse it gets, too, because of the added pressure.

The only way to diagnose this disorder is through the opinion of a clinician or doctor. It’s based on whether a woman can achieve orgasm based on her age, the type and length of sexual stimulation she is receiving most often, and any other health problems (mental and physical) that she may be having. If there is no other, identifiable reason why a woman is having trouble achieving orgasm, she is then diagnosed with female orgasmic disorder. If that is the case, she can then determine whether there are any treatments or therapies that she would like to try in an effort to achieve orgasm.
