An alarming 10% of females report that an orgasm is an elusive experience for them, whether with their sexual partners or when masturbating. My therapy sessions have provided an outlet for such women. During these enlightening sessions, I give them valuable knowledge that put a smile on their faces. Being knowledgeable about orgasms makes it possible for women to enjoy their sexual encounters until the very end.

Firstly, the most crucial thing to know is that there is a link between tension & relaxation in terms of sexual pleasure. My clients ask me how they can achieve both these feelings at the same time. To answer this question, I give them a solution that comprises of two elements.

Learning How to Have a Glorious Orgasm Step 1: Tension

Muscle tension, also known as myotonia, plays an important role in women’s ability to orgasm. Women often think that the sole feeling should be relaxation and that they should be passive if they want to enjoy sex. The truth is that tense muscles are necessary for a sensual and significant orgasm. What I have noted is that many women experienced their first orgasm when they have an integration of the tension in their leg, buttock and abdominal muscles.

It comes as no surprise that the commonly experienced muscle contractions felt by women are in the lower part of the pelvis. These are actually the muscles that are squeezed to restrict urination. This contraction is typically done as a pelvis strengthening activity known as Kegel exercise.

How are tense muscles associated with achieving an orgasm? Arousal is the answer. Upon contraction of muscles, blood flows to various parts of the body an more significantly in the genital parts. This feeling of arousal is part of the sexual recipe that contributes to an orgasm for many women.

Learning How to Have a Glorious Orgasm Step 2: Winding Down

Where does relaxation come into the picture? It is a composite of the brain. At the time of sexual intercourse, a woman is supposed to think of the sexual feelings that are a result of stimulation.

Are you unable to relax? Visualize the flow of words across a Times Square billboard as they appear and disappear in succession. During sex, women can imagine that a Times Square billboard is showcasing their repetitive thoughts such as “I have all the time in the world” or “This feels amazing” in the form of a mental broadcast. This fills the brain with sexually arousing thought, not mental pictures that can shut down the women’s sexual appetite.

At the end of the initial lesson, I assign my articles some homework. They are required to contract their muscles during sex and silence their minds. This process gets better with practice and time. When clients return for follow up sessions, they also have good news for me.

Still Can’t Orgasm? It Might be a Medical Issue

Going for therapy can be a worthwhile solution for women who find it difficult to have an orgasm. A number of women may have a physical or medical problem that prevents them for reaching a climax. Side effects of prescriptive medication can also make it hard to orgasm. Treatment can be carried out in different ways.

  • Eros is a medical aid that creates an enhanced flow of blood to the genital area and it is approved by the FDA.

There are creams that can be accessed from pharmacies and these are designed to increase sexual sensitivity. However, they are not FDA approved. Talk to your doctor before attempting any of these options.
