Men and women both have orgasm, but they aren’t really the same, and they are generally caused by different types of stimulation. The actual orgasm itself, however, isn’t that different at all. When it comes to orgasms, people have to understand that their comfort level with their gender, their body, and their partner have a lot to do with it. People who don’t have an orgasm easily sometimes aren’t very comfortable with who they are or the lifestyle that they have chosen, and that can cause them to have trouble ‘letting themselves go’ enough to achieve an orgasm. This is much more often seen in women than it is in men, but both genders can be affected by it. It’s important to also understand that women need more emotional stimulation than men do in order to have an orgasm, so foreplay is generally more important to them.
Overall, though, orgasm is such a complex thing and there is a lot that scientists and researchers still don’t know about it. Part of that comes from the idea that it’s ‘dirty’ or ’shameful’ to have or talk about orgasm. That couldn’t be farther from the truth, but some areas of society still cling to that idea. In order to live a very fulfilled sex life, one has to let those kinds of things go.
