Here’s an interesting article on the NYTimes. Apparently, women are subconsciously attracted to the scent that men give off during sex.
In their verbal responses, all but two subjects denied smelling any sweat, or anything human, and none verbally distinguished the sexual from the neutral sweat. But their brain activity told a different story. Two regions of the brain, the right orbitofrontal cortex and the right fusiform region, responded significantly to the sexual sweat of men than to any of the other smells.
Dr. Chen, an assistant professor of psychology at Rice University, said that only one brain area, the hypothalamus, is known to be important in sexual motivation and behavior, and that region did not respond to the odors. But the researchers did find that the brain somehow recognizes social or emotional information contained in sexual sweat, treating it differently from other odors. In this sense, they conclude, humans communicate with smell.
No man should imagine that based on these conclusions he can improve his sex life by refraining from bathing.
Sex pheromones are awesome, particularly the ones naturally produced by the body. So many sources document the effect of sex pheromones on the human brain during sex, leading to speculation on what perfume makes girls go loca during sex.
My personal preference involves musky odors on men during sex. How about women? I would suggest floral/candy scents, though musky women scents work too. What I’m sure of, though, is women become more receptive to scents after they climax.
So what does that tell men? You can bathe in musky perfume all day, but if you can’t get her to climax, it probably won’t matter.

I never gave it much thought, but I do feel the most attracted to my husband during sex.
There is definetely a different smell to my husband’s sweat during sex and I think it adds to the overall pleasure.
In ancient Rome or Greece (I can’t remember which one), they used to rub olive oil and scrape the sweat off of athletes as a pheromone perfume. I suppose it would depend on the person’s body chemistry though.
