The Eros therapy was touted as the cure to female sexual dysfunction (FSD) in female cancer patients who have been exposed to radiation therapy. And, this UCSD report says it works!
Women who undergo pelvic radiotherapy may complain of decreased vaginal lubrication, decreased sensation and less enjoyment during intercourse due to pain (dyspareunia). Sexual dysfunction may also occur in women receiving chemotherapy alone. Until recently, no successful treatment was available for female cancer patients suffering from female sexual dysfunction. However, in February 2000, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) endorsed a novel, non-pharmacologic treatment known as the EROS Clitoral Therapy Device (CTD). read more
The chart on the UCSD page showed how the non-pharmacologic EROS therapy device greatly improved genital sensation, vaginal lubrication, orgasm ability and sexual satisfaction in FSD-afflicted women as well as non-FSD women. Moreover, the report showed how the factors affecting female orgasms (fantasy, arousal, experience and drive) increased in these women after 3 months of continuous (44 mins, 4 times a week) and intermittent usage (15-30 minutes 4 times a week) of the EROS device.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Men have had plenty of ways to deal with sexual dysfunction for years now and, frankly, cancer has already stolen enough from the women who’ve struggled through it. It’s good to know that those women who’ve fought this disease can now have this important part of their lives back.
