One of the main questions about sex is the elasticity of the vagina. As soon as we move away from our virginal states, we start questioning whether or not the vaginal orifice get too loose due to increasing “usage”. There’s also the issue of men’s penis size. Maybe your vagina feels “loose” because your former lover was more well-endowed than your present one.
Nonetheless, there’s a way to get a “tighter vagina” and consequently, better orgasms, just by doing some pelvic floor workouts daily. Kegels, a muscular exercise routine named after Dr. Arnold Kegel, are said to make the vagina tighter. Usually done after giving birth, these exercises help women re-train their vaginal muscles, so that they’re tight again when it’s safe to resume intercourse.
Pelvic floor muscles may be strengthened by actively squeezing the vaginal muscles while at rest (sitting or lying down). You may also do this during masturbation by inserting a finger or two inside your vagina and willing the inner muscles to contract without tightening your butt cheeks. A vibrator can also be used to simulate the girth of a man’s penis.
The real test that you did it right comes during urination. You know you did the exercises right if you can control your pee mid-stream. Women have reported having stronger orgasms as soon as they started doing Kegels regularly, and I can only assume that their partners also benefited, pleasure-wise, from the exercise. Men may also perform Kegels to improve staying power during sex. For men, it involves contracting the muscles of the penis in such a way that they can easily contract their anal sphincters without tightening their butt cheeks.
